| News | | EAP Welcomes State Farm Insurance Company | | 3.4.2009 |  The Elizabeth Avenue Partnership (EAP) gave a warm welcome to newcomer, State Farm Insurance Company, who opened a store at 813 Elizabeth Avenue. Mayor Chris Bollwage attended the ceremony, along with EAP Director Dave Strochak, EAP Chairman, Larry Franchini and Maira Santana, of the Greater Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce (GECC) joining State Farm Agent Angel L. Rodriguez and his staff members.
Angel Rodriguez thanked those in attendance during a ceremonial toast and said, "We appreciate all of the support and really have been made to feel like a part of the community." "A lot has to do with the business friendly culture the Mayor has developed here in the City of Elizabeth and we look forward to doing business here for many years to come," he said.
"We welcome Angel and the State Farm Family to our city and wish them much success and prosperity here," said Mayor Bollwage.
The new store is located in the heart of the Elizabeth Avenue business district, directly across the street from Union Square Plaza, where many events, parades and Farmers Markets are held throughout the year. The office is staffed with friendly, multi-lingual agents and is fully licensed with the backing of an 80 year old Fortune 100 Company.
"Our goal is to provide the community with the help they need to protect their assets and loved ones," he said. "We feel that we are here to educate the community, especially the newcomers, on how we can help them achieve their dreams and get the best auto, homeowners and life insurance possible."
Rodiguez has worked in the Financial Services industry for 15 years, has an MBA and worked as a registered representative on Wall Street. He is a member of the National Society of Hispanic MBA's, the Greater Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce and the Urban Enterprise Zone Program.
