| News | | Market Study to Examine Future of Elizabeth Avenue | | 2.2.2009 |  The JGSC Group has been retained by the EAP to perform their Community Insights™ process on the businesses located within the Elizabeth Avenue Special Improvement District, in a Market Study of the Elizabeth Avenue business district. The Study is aimed to identify the vision and future of the Avenue including shopping trends, and business recruitment strategies. JGSC has walked the commercial blocks of the district, and assessed its condition with regard to retail offerings, vacancies, building maintenance, visual merchandising, pedestrian safety/walkability, and several other criteria. They have also sat down with merchants and stakeholders to interview them one-on-one and understand their perspective on how commerce works on Elizabeth Avenue, and what their vision is for its future. Next, they will be talking to you, through a shopper survey that will ask for your likes and dislikes about shopping and dining here. The survey, www.ElizAveSurvey.com, will be available in two dozen locations along the avenue, and will also be available to take on the internet. Once that survey is completed, JGSC will analyze the data provided, combine that with purchased data about shoppers and stores in our trade area, and present their findings to the EAP board. "The information will help us to better understand what people want here, what we can sustain here, and what we need to do to revitalize the Elizabeth Avenue corridor," said Mark Lohbauer, JGSC.
