be visiting the Elizabeth Avenue Farmers Market to sell their homebaked breads, cookies and pies at the Opening Day Ceremony of the Farmers Market,
Tuesday, June 30th, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Creekside Bakery will feature its famous Fruit Pies, Chocolate Chip/Oatmeal Cookies, Whoopie Pies, and
delicious breads among other freshly baked items.
Creekside Farms will make the 3.5 hour drive from North Central Pennsylvania, to bring their famous baked goods to the Elizabeth Farmers Market, according to Dave Strochak.
“We’re excited about hosting the Creekside Bakery and look forward to the delicious baked goods they will bring,” Strochak said.
The Ceremony is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. and representatives from the Department of Agriculture will be joining Mayor Chris Bollwage, Union County
Freeholders, EAP Board of Directors, City Officials, City Directors and Farm Vendors to officially open the market. The Rutgers Cooperative Extension
will be providing their Free Strawberry Smoothies while the Union County Division on Aging will be distributing Senior Vouchers from 11-2 p.m.
Creekside Bakery joins Alstede Farms from Chester, NJ and other specialty vendors including, The Original Delancey Street Peanut Company of NY who
carry nearly 70 items including, roasted peanuts, peanut brittle, crunches as well as cashews, almonds and coconuts.
The Elizabeth Avenue Farmers Market is located on High Street, between Elizabeth Avenue and First Avenue and runs from June through November 24th
