ELIZABETH AVENUE PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCES GREAT BANDS
LINED UP FOR HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH

Elizabeth Avenue, Elizabeth, NJ. --- Come out to Elizabeth Avenue on Saturday, September 27th for a fun-filled day of music and dance to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the Elizabeth Avenue Partnership (EAP) at Union Square Plaza on Elizabeth Avenue. The event is sponsored in part by a HEART Grant from the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and an Investors Bank Foundation Grant.

The event is free and performances are slated to begin at 12-Noon and run until 6 p.m. featuring the following acts: Trio Cristal (12-2 p.m.) - a Latin Jazz Guitar Trio playing an upbeat tempo of Salsa, Merengue and Latin favorites; Sonora Impacto Tropical (2-4 p.m.) - a 12-piece band playing Salsa and Cumbia; Yankala (4-6 p.m.) - a lively group playing Latin favorites with a focus on sounds of the Caribbean. DJ Rob of Colorblind Productions will be on hand while additional vendors and hospitality tents from sponsoring organizations will be also be present including vendors selling items from South and Central America.

“We are excited to bring this day-long concert event to Elizabeth Avenue while showcasing the tremendous cultural diversity we have in our City,” said EAP Executive Director, Dave Strochak. “We thank the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders for awarding these Grants each year and Investors Bank for their support of our organization.”

The EAP is the Downtown Management Corporation for the Elizabeth Avenue Special Improvement District (SID) and is responsible for administering and managing all aspects of the shopping district including an aggressive Clean and Safe Program, Beautification Initiatives, Promotions, Events and Quality Business Development.
