One of the most historic and oldest streets in North America, Elizabeth Avenue has been the social center and marketplace of the Peterstown section of Elizabeth since 1917. In the spirit of the old Peterstown Farmers Market the EAP runs a Jersey Fresh farm-stand, hosted by the renowned Alstede Farms of Chester NJ, every single Tuesday from June to November. They sell Jersey fresh fruits and vegetable, homemade pies, fresh honey, herbs, and fresh squeezed apple cider directly from their 500 acre orchards.

Today, our friendly marketplace continues to thrive - steeped with generations of cultural diversity. Come enjoy a long tradition of family-owned specialty retailers, unique shops, ethnic groceries, fun-filled events, and diverse restaurants bursting with international flavor. The Market community now represents more than 30 countries!

The Market at Elizabeth Avenue spans from Bridge Street to Fourth Street encompassing Union Square, New Point Road, Peterstown Farmers Market, and the Alstede Market.
